Instructors

Tom Havenar has over 30 years of experience working in the electrical power industry as a supervisor and technical advisor.  His responsibilities have included installation of power utility substation equipment to developing and orchestrating equipment maintenance and sales agreements.  He has provided employee and customer training for companies such as Dayton Power and Light, ABB, and Megger Corporation.  He has also held an electrical contractor’s license for many years.  His experience and knowledge is quite evident during his training sessions.

W. Clare Lutton has over 30 years experience in the construction industry both as a general contractor and master plumber.  He has been involved in many new, renovation and repair projects over the years, and has developed a great appreciation for safety.  That respect is well balanced from the perspective of being a construction project owner, employer or tradesman.

 In 2005, he started Lutton Associates, LLC to provide safety training and consultation to other businesses and tradesmen experiencing many similar safety issues and concerns.  Clare is a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) with authorizations from OSHA to teach safety in both Construction and General Industry, as an OSHA Outreach Trainer.  He is also certified as an OCILB (Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board) Training Agency, where he provides continuing education to Ohio’s licensed mechanical tradesmen.
